Mil Spec

how do i know if i have a mil-spec or commercial buffer tube on my CMMG AR-15 for a replacement stock?

I'm looking at different stocks and they all come in two options, mil-spec or commercial. Is there an easy way to tell the two apart? the gun was bought with an existing MOE magpul stock.

The milspec tube is a little narrower.

All you need to do is measure the outside diameter of the buffer tube across the width of the tube. Commerical tubes are 1.170 and mil-spec tubes are only 1.140. Surprisingly, three-hundredth of an inch make a world of difference in the stock fit!!

Israel orders first squadron of stealth F-35s?

Israel moved a step closer to receiving its first stealth fighter jets this week after the Israel Air Force submitted an official Letter of Request (LOR) to the Pentagon to purchase its first squadron of 25 F-35 stealth fighter jets.

Also known as the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF), the F-35 will be one of the most-advanced fighter jets in the world and will enable Israel to phase out some of its older F-15 and F-16 models. The JSF is manufactured by Lockheed Martin.

What jobs in the air force are associated with accounting and finance?

I am two years away from a Master's degree in accounting. I was interested in joining the air force once my degree is completed. What should I expect as far as initial officer training? How does that differ from enlisted training? Any other information would be helpful.

With an MBA you could quickly become the commander of a small Comptroller Squadron and then move up fast from there. Plus those skills will easily transfer to a civilian job so it's a great choice. And they don't deploy as often.

Your training will have more leadership quality to it than enlisted do. Along with all the rules and regulations of the AF, weapons training, etc.
