I remember dancing, political debates, marching in protests, fun parties, learning art, humanities, and literature. I also rarely wore clothes, and loved painting flowers, rainbows, and stick people on my body, lol!

I'm glad my parents were hippie rebels, taught me a helluva lot. You?

Hey Chunga, I don't care about the thumbs down. The fact is that most of the problems we face in America today, like drugs, lenient criminal sentences, lack of personal responsibility, failing schools, racism, STD's, and injustice, are ALL directly related to the low life hippie movement of the 60's. The drug induced rationality that existed then has only grown as they have spawned. Just go to Woodstock New York today, and see what a hole that beautiful town turned into.

Like I said, Hippies suck, and are a scourge on our society. Just because they can give a thumbs down, doesn't make them rational.

I just thank God that they are all going to be gone within the next few years..

I'm reading the December 1969 National Geographic, and in the article about the recent Apollo 11 moon mission,?

they very clearly go over the last minute 1201 and 1202 alarms, and quote Armstrong as saying "That's one small step for A man, one giant leap for mankind", not "..one small step for man..". These two tidbits of information have been gone over in recent years as if they are newly revealed or controversial, and I expect for us to see them framed this way again on June 20th. Maybe people interested in NASA, Apollo and the like will stop obsessing over 40 year-old details once and if it becomes clear the US is going back to the moon. I hope we do, and before the Chinese. How about you?

You raise an important point. A lot of fake "controversy" has come up over the years about things that were well known at the time. Take the "waving" flag planted on the Moon, for example. I have seen some conspiracy theorists claim that this is proof that the Moon landing was faked, since a flag couldn't wave on the Moon. However, at the time it was widely known that the flag was stiffened with wire so that it would give the appearance of "waving".

As far as returning to the Moon is concerned, I'm all for it. We've stumbled a lot in recent years and when you stumble, you tend to look down at your feet. It's time to lift our gaze again.

That said, I'm not too concerned who does it. The Moon landing was really a 21st century event that happened in the 20th century for political reasons. Considering the primitive computers at the time it is amazing that it worked at all. Let's start exploring the Solar System as representatives of the species and not just one nation.

Yankee Clipper

Yankee Stadium, help!!?

Hi ! I'm going to Yankee Stadium to see a game on Sunday May 30th. I am from the Jersey Shore (Monmouth County) and have NO idea the best way to get there. I'm open to any ideas, but please when you tell me the idea, give me lots of detail. I am HORRIBLE with directions, thank you!!!!

I also looked into the Yankee Clipper, but that would be like driving to Yankee Stadium for me.. confusing on how to get there..

Take NJ Transit's North Jersey Coast Line to New York Penn Station.

Once at in the city, take the uptown (northbound) "A" express train (Blue Line on the NYC subway map) from Penn Station to 145th Street. Once at 145th Street, transfer downstairs to the uptown (northbound) "D" train (Orange Line), which will take you from there to Yankee Stadium.

The fare on the subway is $2.25 a ride, and the fare on the NJ Transit's NJCL will range from $20 to $30 each way.

Yankee Game - New York City (Bronx)?

Does anyone have first hand experience going to the Yankee Game in New York using the Yankee Clipper (Ferry)? Is it safe from the drop off location to the stadium? Any concerns or issues based upon past experience?

It is totally safe!

The ferry drops you off right alongside the stadium on the Harlem River....a "pier" is there for the boat to dock. Then it's just a walk under the highway and through the parking lot to the stadium.

I bought two things last Monday. One from a somewhat new seller and one from a established seller. The newby sent my package fedex smartpost which took 5 days from north carolina and was in poor condition. The established seller sent my package from georgia usps first class and came two days later. What rating should I give this somewhat new seller? Positive or negative or neutral?

I agree with "U Don't"- be sure that it wasn't just the shipping service (I've gotten the most horribly treated packages- what part of "Do Not Bend" don't they understand?!). If they itself item was damaged you might want to e-mail them before leaving neutral or negative feedback; otherwise just let it slide or put a note in the comments section on the feedback- "item good, shipping a little bad" or something like that.

Mac OSX: Yahoo! Widget Engine Won't launch?

I have downloaded the Yahoo! Widget Engine and a couple of widgets. The problem I am facing is that the Yahoo! Widget Engine won't start. Clicking on the Yahoo! Widget Engine nothing will happen. I have erased the program plist but that did not help. My OS is 10.4.9 and I am usin the version 4 of Yahoo! Widget Engine.

I don't think that you can use yahoo widgets.... mac has there on version you can get it from apple.com.... if you dont have it... the program is called dashboard
